General Comments

  • Building visitors are asked to observe safety practices in support of recommended CDC and College/government guidelines and mandates. Protecting you and our staff members is our number one priority.
    • Respect social distancing by maintaining six feet of spacing between yourself and other persons at all times including while waiting in line.
    • Please wear a face mask or face covering in the building at all times.
    • Use hand sanitizer, if available, upon arrival and departure.
    • Use sanitizing wipes, if available, to wipe computer keyboards and mice before and after using computers.
    • Wash hands thoroughly and often.
  • Current LRC hours are posted in our online calendar.
  • All previously scheduled LRC room reservations have been canceled until further notice.
  • The College uses an electrostatic environmental mister to sanitize high-use areas. The process includes applying a thin polymer barrier to frequently used surfaces to provide additional protection.

Library

  • Computer access is limited to 25 stations in the Library Open Computer Lab. Students who require special accommodations may inquire at the Ask Here desk.
  • Interlibrary Loan (ILL) for articles continues. ILL for books is suspended until libraries reopen.
  • Reference librarians are available to answer questions in-person at the Ask Here desk. Librarians are also available to help remotely via phone, text, chat, email or Zoom during Library hours.
  • Graphing calculator rentals are available during the semester using the normal calculator rental procedure with additional sanitizing procedures.
  • Textbook Reserves are available during the semester using the normal textbook checkout procedure with additional sanitizing procedures.

Academic Testing

  • Academic Testing is open with procedural changesStudents must sign-up for a time slot ahead of time to take a test in Academic Testing! Students who arrive without signing up first, will not be allowed to take a test. Students must complete and submit tests during their designated time slot without exception unless they are taking a test that exceeds the time slot length and have signed up for back-to-back slots.
  • Faculty are encouraged to find alternative means of assessment, give tests online using virtual means of test security, or proctor tests themselves according to the directions from their division office.
  • Students requiring special accommodations need to contact Academic Testing to make arrangements for a testing time slot.
  • Students may contact Academic Testing by phone or email. The proper email address to use for Academic Testing is academic-testing@rose.edu.

Tutoring

  • The Tutoring Center will conduct online tutoring only until further notice.
  • Students may receive online tutoring assistance from our own tutors or through our partnership with Tutor.com.
  • Students may contact the Tutoring Center by phone (leave a voice message) or email. The proper email address to use for the Tutoring Center is tutor@rose.edu.
