Supporting faculty through best practices in teaching and learning.

eLearning

eLearning supports and assists faculty who wish to enhance teaching methods through the use of technology. Instructional design personnel assist with a variety of projects, from multimedia presentations to the design and creation of web-based courses. In addition, this office supports the Canvas learning management system.

Internet Courses

Rose State College offers Internet courses in a wide variety of disciplines. These courses are designed with the same rigor as our on-campus classes but with flexibility of access that only the Internet allows. Internet courses have minimal, if any, on-campus requirements. For specific course information or course requirements, please contact the instructor or the division office. Our Internet courses are conducted through the Canvas learning management system.

For a list of online courses, consult the Semester Schedule. Internet courses are identified by a footnote inline with the rest of the course offerings. In addition, the Internet courses are listed together near the end of the Semester Schedule.

Once you have decided to enroll in an online course, the enrollment process is no different from that of enrolling in an on-campus course. If you have not already been admitted to the college, you must apply for admission before you may enroll. After you have been admitted, you may enroll.

Please direct specific course questions to the instructor or the division through which the course is taught. Contact eLearning if you have technical or general questions concerning online course delivery. If you have a Canvas question that your instructor cannot answer, please contact the eLearn Support Helpdesk.

Hybrid Courses

Hybrid classes combine on-campus meetings with online work to meet academic requirements. Check the footnotes of the section in which you enroll for more information regarding the dates of on campus class meetings. Hybrid courses rely heavily upon the same online elements used in our Internet courses. We use Canvas as our online Integrated Learning Platform.

For a list of hybrid courses, consult the Semester Schedule. Hybrid courses are identified by a footnote inline with the rest of the course offerings. In addition, the Hybrid courses are listed together near the end of the Semester Schedule.
