Reserve Collection

The Reserve Collection consists primarily of textbooks that are on loan to the Library from campus divisions, departments, and instructors. We do not have textbooks for every course. Please call the Circulation Desk at 405-733-7338 during library hours of service to find out if we have a copy of the textbook you need.

What You Will Need to Know

When you call, we will ask you for the Course Number (e.g. ENGL 1113, CHEM 1114, etc.), located on your class schedule or the course syllabus. Your syllabus should also identify the specific edition, title, and author of the textbook(s) needed for that class. You are responsible for verifying that you are borrowing the correct textbook, as not all sections of the same course use the same textbook.

Checkout Procedure

Textbooks may be borrowed for two hours and must remain in the Library. You cannot take the textbook to your class or leave the building with it for any reason. During this two-hour loan period, we will keep your RSC student ID and your driver’s license at the Circulation Desk.

Acceptable Usage

You may scan or photocopy specific pages needed for an assignment; the library has four flatbed scanners and one photocopier available for this purpose. Scanning is free and photocopies are $0.10/page. Please keep in mind the rules regarding photocopying to remain in compliance with U.S. Copyright Law.
